- Rice — to buy400 g
- Braising beef — to buy300 g
- Onion — to buy2
- Garlic — to buy2 cloves
- Cinnamon — to buy1 stick
- Clove — to buy4
- Cumin — to buy1 tsp
- Stock — to buy600 ml
- Neutral oil — to buy2 tbsp
- Salt — to buy1 tsp
Preparation
Cut the beef into small cubes and brown it for 8 minutes in the hot oil in a large pot.
Add the sliced onion and chopped garlic, sauté for 4 minutes until nicely colored.
Add the cinnamon stick, cloves, and cumin, toasting for 1 minute while stirring to wake up the spices.
Pour in the rinsed and drained rice, stirring for 1 minute to coat each grain in spices and fat.
Pour in the hot stock, season with salt, bring to a boil, then cover and lower the heat to minimum.
Cook for 18 minutes without lifting the lid, until the rice has absorbed all the liquid and is tender.
Remove from heat, let rest covered for 5 minutes, then fluff the rice with a fork before serving hot.
