- Cottage cheese — to buy500 g
- Egg — to buy2
- Flour — to buy150 g
- Sugar — to buy60 g
- Neutral oil — to buy1 l
- Cream — to buy100 g
- Confiture d'abricot — to buy100 g
Preparation
Drain the quark well in a colander lined with a tea towel for 30 minutes, to remove excess whey.
In a bowl, mix the drained quark, eggs and sugar until you get an even paste.
Add the flour little by little and mix without overworking the dough, until just combined.
Flour your hands and shape flattened balls with a hole in the centre (small doughnut shape), plus a few smaller balls for the topping.
Heat the oil in a large pot to 170°C.
Fry the papanași for 3-4 minutes per side until nicely golden and puffed, drain on paper towel.
Serve warm, topped with sour cream and apricot jam.
