Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Peel and quarter the apples.

  2. Make a caramel with the sugar and butter directly in an oven-safe tin.

  3. Arrange the apples over the caramel, then cover with the pastry, tucking in the edges.

  4. Bake for 30 minutes, let cool slightly, then turn out by flipping the tin.
