- Wagashi (fromage peul) — to buy400 g
- Tomato — to buy3
- Onion — to buy1
- Chili pepper — to buy1
- Neutral oil — to buy2 tbsp
- Salt — to buy1 pinch
Preparation
Cut the wagashi into thick slices, about 1.5 cm.
Heat the oil in a pan over medium-high heat and add the wagashi slices.
Sear them for 3 to 4 minutes per side without moving them, until a golden crust forms: the cheese holds its shape when cooked and doesn't melt.
Set the seared wagashi aside, then in the same pan sauté the sliced onion and chopped chili for 3 minutes.
Add the tomatoes cut into wedges and cook for 5 minutes over high heat until just softened but still a bit firm.
Return the seared wagashi to the pan, season with salt, and gently toss for 1 minute to coat everything, then serve immediately, piping hot.
